ENVIRUMEDIC & ActionAid Nigeria give COVID-19 Training and Palliatives
The Covid-19 lockdown in various parts of the world has been effective in containing the pandemic through social distancing, wearing of face masks, washing of hands with soap & water and others.
Trainings on misconception and prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic was organized and carried out Ughelli South, North and Ndokwa East LGAs.
Joblessness, growing poverty and food insecurity generated by the restrictions have made many people, especially the poor, more vulnerable to human trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery.
The distribution of palliatives by the Federal Government to cushion the effect of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on poor and vulnerable Nigerians in parts of the country has been nothing short of chaos.
In light of the above, two budding organizations, ENVIRUMEDIC and ActionAid Nigeria intensified efforts to take COVID-19 Palliatives Distribution in Rice, Beans, Indomie, Groundnut Oil, Sanitary Pads and others to communities in Delta State as part of efforts to alleviating the sufferings, occasioned by the nationwide lockdown.
