"It gives me such grief to watch children suffering from poverty. By helping in some way or another, I feel contented that there is something I can do about this.
We have been able to successfully work in the Niger Delta through the use of the rights based approach to development. This was done by the introduction of the use of participatory methodologies such as Reflect and Participatory Vulnerability Analysis. This participatory methodology, with our support has made these communities where we work to recognise their environment, identify their problems and tackle it. They are also empowered to analyse the challenges to development and demand for and actualise their rights.
