Sponsorship

CHILD SPONSORSHIP Project

Sponsorship is the tested and trusted fundraising mechanism of ActionAid Nigeria. It is one of ActionAid’s primary sources of generating income to support the rural and most excluded communities. The funds generated support the child’s whole community, so that women and children can have a healthy and safe place to live and grow up. Donors sponsor an individual child from a community in a developing country and receive regular updates about the child’s progress and development knows as Child Message Collection. The Collection is a bi-annual activity of all ActionAid partners. Presently Delta State is linked to UK sponsor in 13 communities across 3 Local Government Areas. sponsorship creates spaces for donors and sponsored children to communicate with each other through writing seasonal messages.
