Ecostove Project

The call for addressing the current and future climate change impacts in Delta State particularly as it links to plans of realizing the present Government’s 3-point agenda and achieving the Millennium Development goals calls for ENVIRUMEDIC efforts in the implementation of the ECOSTOVE Project. The Ecostove is an environmentally, ecologically and socially responsible stove with a simple design manufactured locally, using local materials and adapted to meet local cooking customs. It’s chimney removes toxic smoke keeping it out of the lungs of women and children. It has no indoor air pollution and has 80% less fuel wood consumption. Ecostove Project is a Quick Win Intervention with “Improved access to Energy Efficiency. Today, ENVIRUMEDIC has provided over 2000 ecostoves and trained over 5,000 inhabitants of Emonu, Eboh and Ugono Orogun Communities in Ughelli North LGA”. The project is addressing issues in the Energy sector and cross cutting of women’s.
