Activities
1. Client Exit Interview (CEI)
The CEI is mainly targeted at clients who patronize the GF-supported health facility to get their opinion on the services and also get recommendations for improvement from the clients. For the purpose of this grant, ENVIRUMEDIC work in Igbudu Primary Health Center which is a global fund-supported facility in Warri South LGA. ENVIRUMEDIC set up a Community Lead Monitoring Team (CLMT) which comprises one Programme Officer from the organization, one community (Igbudu) representative, and a representative of the Ward Development Committee in Igbudu community. The CLMT is mainly responsible for the project activities under the supervision of the CEO of ENVIRUMEDIC.
2. FOCUSED GROUP DISCUSSION(FGD)
ENVIRUMEDIC CLMT conducts FGD in Igbudu community to discuss with some of the community stakeholders which includes, women leaders, youth, NURTW, religious leaders, and community leaders.
The FGD is conducted to look into some of the gaps in the Igbudu health facility and possibly discuss finding a lasting solution and the way forward.
3. Outreach on Gender-Based Violence and Human Rights
The CLMT carried out outreach on GBV at the Igbudu PHC
The audience was sensitized explicitly on issues of GBV and that the issues of GBV are not being handled shabbily by the relevant authority and that some of the people especially women who are experiencing GBV do not know that what they go through is gender-based violence and as such sees it as a normal thing in their locality. The facilitator told the audience that they should always be on alert and ensure that cases of GBV are reported to the appropriate authority. The participants were also given examples of GBV as;
Psychological violence, stalking, physical violence, forced marriage, sexual violence such as rape and sexual harassment, forced abortion, and forced sterilization.
The CLMT dropped the contact of the ACCOMIN State Programme Officer for them to call and report cases of the examples listed above promising that such issues will be handled with care and maximum protection of the complainant(victim).
